Honoring Dr. Mary Magnano Smith '61

The Dr. Mary Magnano Smith Scholarship was established in 2009 in honor of her service to the school and her dedication to the Sacred Heart.

Awarded to new students, the Smith Scholarship is presented to those recipients who exhibit Sacred Heart Spirit and demonstrate financial need. The scholarship was created in 2009 to recognize Dr. Smith for her more than 40 years in education, including her service as Head of School at Forest Ridge. A generous gift from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation helped to establish the Dr. Mary Magnano Smith Scholarship.
