Julie Lundgren

Dear Alumnae,

Spring at Forest Ridge promises busy days as the Middle School prepares for their musical, Cinderella on May 14 and 15 (tickets can be purchased online by clicking HERE), the High School takes AP exams, and the tennis and lacrosse teams gear up for end-of-season games. Finally, the seniors prepare to graduate on Tuesday, June 8.

Mark Pierotti is almost finished with his first year as Head of School where he has spent a good amount of time listening and learning about the ways of Forest Ridge. He has surprised us with his many talents as he showed up in the halls as Santa in December, prepared lunch in the Commons in April, and recently, conducted the choir during their recital! The students love his easy going nature and his interest in listening to them. He has been a welcome addition to our community.

As always, we want to hear from you. Please submit any news you’d like to share: new jobs, continued schooling, marriages, births, if you’ve moved or if you’ve gotten together with other Forest Ridge alumnae - we always love to hear about it.  We’d love to see your photos too.  Send them to me at julielu@forestridge.org

Keep well,

Julie

Save the Date: October 1-2

The 2nd Annual All-Alumnae Reunion Weekend  is coming up on October 1 and 2. All alumnae are invited, but if this is your milestone year and you graduated in a year ending with an "0" or a "5," make plans to get your classmates together and come to this fun and exciting Alumnae Reunion Weekend!  We will especially honor the 25 and 50 year reunion classes (1985 and 1960). Last year was our first year of this new format and it was a huge success. Plan to tour the new high school from 4:00-5:00 p.m., taste wine at our popular community-wide Harvest Crush Wine Tasting and stay for dinner and festivities at the Alumnae Only dinner in the Commons. The next day individual classes are encouraged to have their own reunions. Look for your Save-The-Date postcard coming soon in the mail.  Questions? Call me at 425-201-2414 or email me at julielu@forestridge.org.

Annual Fund closes June 30

The Annual Fund still needs your support. Currently 10% of alumnae give to the Annual Fund. Private, non-profit educational institutions depend on their Annual Fund to operate and to be able to provide an excellent product. Participation plays a key role in determining support we receive from foundations when applying for grants. It doesn’t take much; a small gift is all we ask for. To donate, click HERE. The 2009-2010 Annual Fund will close on June 30, 2010. Thank you for your support!
