Kaila Davis Nsimbi ’04, Associate Executive Director at Rainier Scholars

Kaila Davis Nsimbi ’04 is the Associate Executive Director of Rainier Scholars, a 12-year program that offers a pathway to college graduation for hard-working, low-income students of color. Kaila received her undergraduate degree from Seattle University, and worked her way up over last 12 years from middle school academic counselor to her role as a director of placement, and then as program director. She mentors students, supports academic counselors, and forges partnerships with other programs, such as the University of Washington’s Doctor for a Day.

Kaila is passionate about achieving her equity goals through her commitment to helping students develop the skills they need to be community leaders. She works daily to promote the Rainier Scholar’s mission of advancing equity in education and creating a more equitable society.
