Maleah Jackson '00, Principal and Managing Consultant

Maleah Jackson is the Principal and Managing Consultant at Makari Consulting, a firm she founded to help organizations stay focused on their mission while promoting equity and justice inside their teams and in the communities they serve. She graduated from Spelman College, a historically Black college in Atlanta, GA, with a degree in Biology.

Maleah’s career started in education—teaching math and Spanish while in college—and grew into leadership roles where she learned the power of collaboration and using both data and real-life experiences to make meaningful change. She has managed projects and budgets up to $500M for private and public entities. Today, she uses all her learned skills to help organizations create solutions that truly reflect the people they hire and serve. Maleah has built a career by combining creativity, strategy, and a love for people.

Before starting her consulting firm, Maleah owned a catering business inspired by her grandmother, proving that creativity and passion can shape your path. When she’s not working, Maleah is crafting new recipes and listening to Gospel music.
