Saveria Mazzola Tilden ’91, Founder of Women's Outdoor Aventure Company AdventurUs

Saveria Mazzola Tilden ’91 founded a women’s outdoor adventure company, AdventurUs, with the belief that there is adventure in all of us! AdventurUs creates life changing adventure retreats and travel experiences for women by women. 

As a woman & LGBTQ+ owned company, AdventurUs is committed to creating inclusive, welcoming spaces for all women and friends of all gender identities and expressions, who are seeking a women-centered space.  They welcome travelers of all backgrounds, ages, sizes, and experience levels, offering a range of activities from hiking to rock climbing. And, with a dedication to responsible travel practices, AdventurUs is about more than outdoor adventures – it's about creating a supportive community that respects diversity, promotes inclusivity, and believes in the adventurous spirit within each of us. They also prioritize partnering with women-owned businesses, hiring women guides, local operators and supporting sustainable, mission-driven companies. 

Saveria also specializes in partnership development and strategy collaborating with companies and organizations committed to connecting people to the outdoors. This has included work with start-ups and REI’s Outessa, a national retreat series for women where she managed the partners and event programming. Her work with REI’s Outdoor School as an instructor in climbing, navigation, SUP, cycling, hiking, and backpacking, gave Saveria the opportunity to combine her love of teaching and the outdoors. Saveria also channels these passions into giving back to her community, serving as the Chair on the Board of Director for the American Hiking Society and hosting a free Empowering Women Through Adventure speaker series in Bend, OR.

Saveria earned a MA in Education from Pepperdine University, and a BA in Psychology from Claremont McKenna College. She has her certifications as a Wilderness First Responder and Leave No Trace Master Educator. She currently lives in Bend, OR with her adventure pup Betty.
