Hats off to the Class of 2020!

It has been a banner year for Forest Ridge seniors in college admissions! One hundred percent of students were admitted to and will attend four-year universities across the country (and one in Wales). Our seniors were thoughtful about the college search and application process as they considered the best academic, social and financial fit for them. They applied to 130 colleges in 33 states and three countries. They also boasted a 93% admit rate to the University of Washington, Seattle. (The national average is 46%.)

While we’ve been quarantined for the end of their senior year, we’re still celebrating their success with virtual events, including the Sixth Annual College Burn Party. This event is typically held in May each year, and seniors use sidewalk chalk to write the name of the college they’re attending on the massive cement wall just outside of the high school building, plus they bring college deny letters to set up in flames. Instead of burning their deny letters this year, we’re asking them to rip them in a virtual senior party.
