Faith & Justice Update
- Faith & Justice

November was a month of deep formation, creativity, and community building for our students. We continued shaping our Cor Unum theme, Reimagining the Common Good Through AI. Our fabulous speakers, Vani Mandava P’29, Nikita Thomas, and Dr. Molly Greening, shared their insights and work around AI in tech, healthcare, and theology/ethics, respectively. Students then had a day of service to practice widening their circles.
While Cor Unum was happening, the 10th Grade retreat provided sophomores with a meaningful pause in their busy schedules. Through reflection, prayer, and team activities, students explored what it means to grow as leaders and to live the Goals and Criteria in their daily choices. The theme of their retreat was Bread for the World. Students learned about various types of bread, how to make bread, and the importance of sharing their homemade bread with the world. As a community we partook of this specially crafted bread during all-school assembly on Wednesday.

A significant highlight was the visit from artist Gracie Morbitzer, who shared her work on reclamation and sacred iconography. Through her presentation and hands-on sessions, students learned how art can be both a spiritual practice and a way of reclaiming personal and communal stories. Her time with our community helped students see their own narratives as sacred and worthy of honor.
This focus on reclamation came to life during our Reclamation Mass, which invited the community to return to what is essential. The liturgy centered our shared mission, our dignity, and the ongoing call to live with hearts grounded in faith and justice.
November also included Global Days with the theme Women as Wavemakers. Students learned about women around the world whose courage and creativity have shaped communities, movements, and history. These stories encouraged our students to consider how they can make meaningful waves of change in their own lives.
Throughout all of these experiences, November helped our community reflect, reclaim, and practice what it means to live Cor Unum, One Heart, in our daily life together.
