Forest Ridge Middle School Theatre Brings "The Little Mermaid JR." to Life

On May 15 and 16, the Lee Theatre at Forest Ridge was transformed into an underwater kingdom as our Middle School Theatre presented Disney's The Little Mermaid JR. Three performances, packed houses, and a whole lot of talent made for a memorable two nights.
Audiences joined Ariel on her journey from the ocean floor to the world above, with all the humor, heart, and adventure the story is known for. Adapted from Disney's Broadway production and rooted in one of Hans Christian Andersen's most beloved tales, it's a story about the sacrifices we make for love and belonging. Our students did it justice.
Watching middle schoolers command a stage is something special. This cast showed up with confidence and put in the work, and it came through in every scene. Months of rehearsals, learned lines, and practiced harmonies all landed exactly where they needed to.
And none of it happens without the tech crew. Lighting, sound, sets, costumes, props: the people working behind the scenes are just as much a part of the show as anyone in the spotlight, and they deserve to be recognized for it.
Thank you to everyone who came out to support our students. The Forest Ridge community showed up, and it meant a lot. Congratulations to our Theatre Department on a great production. We can't wait for next year's production!
