First Day of School Reflection

What a wonderful first day of school! It was such a joy to welcome our students back to campus and to feel the excitement and energy that come with the beginning of a new year. Thank you to all the families who joined us for the Parent Coffee and for Convocation.

We are so excited for all that lies ahead, and I am especially grateful to our PGA leadership, including PGA President Danielle Green, for the thoughtful ways they have already begun welcoming families and bringing our parent community together.

Our senior ASB leaders offered wise and heartfelt remarks that beautifully set the tone for the year ahead. They encouraged us to find joy in the little moments, to approach each day with gratitude for this incredible community, and to turn every “L” into a lesson rather than a loss. They also reminded us to pause, breathe, and center ourselves when anxiety takes hold, and most importantly, not to let the fear of falling keep us from taking flight. After all, we might just soar like Ravens.

Here’s to an incredible year ahead. I cannot wait to see who we all become.
