FROM THE head of School
Welcome from Mary Rose Guerin, Head of School
Welcome to Forest Ridge School! I am delighted to introduce you to Forest Ridge School of the Sacred Heart, a beautiful school committed to preparing students not for the world of yesterday, but for the dynamic, ever-evolving world of tomorrow.
Since its founding in 1907, Forest Ridge has provided access to a transformative education to girls, in an environment specifically designed for them. Grounded in research and supported by an excellent faculty, our holistic program fosters academic excellence, personal growth, and spiritual development, ensuring that each student is not only challenged academically but also supported in their journey to become confident, compassionate, and socially responsible individuals who are prepared to make a positive impact on the world.
As a member of the world-renowned Sacred Heart Network of Schools, Forest Ridge provides an education designed to develop persons of faith, intellect, character, and integrity.
We blend timeless values and tradition with innovative educational practices that support our students to become resourceful and adaptable, while deepening their capacity to think creatively and critically. Through our intentional blend of core academic courses, multi-disciplinary classes, and experiential learning opportunities, our students access relevant and meaningful learning experiences that prepare them to lead in the world to come, not the world that was.
At Forest Ridge, we take immense pride in our warm, inclusive community that represents the richness of the Seattle area and fosters close-knit relationships and individualized attention. Our expert faculty and staff are deeply committed to nurturing each student’s potential, encouraging them to pursue their passions and interests. Here, every student is known, valued, and supported, creating an environment where they can thrive both academically and personally.
While we cherish our intimate community, we are equally proud of our connection to the broader Sacred Heart Network of Schools, which spans over 150 schools worldwide. This global affiliation enriches our educational experience, providing our students with unparalleled opportunities to engage with diverse cultures, perspectives, and ideas. Through this network, our students gain a global outlook, preparing them to be thoughtful, informed, and proactive citizens of the world.
Thank you for visiting our website- I invite you to visit campus to learn more about us. From the breathtaking drive up the hill, to the warm welcome you will receive upon your arrival, to the one of a kind programs we offer, you will quickly understand what makes a Forest Ridge education so profound. I look forward to meeting you!
Sincerely,
Mary Rose Guerin, Head of School
