Celebrating Catholic Schools Week at Forest Ridge

Celebrating Catholic Schools Week at Forest Ridge

Since 1974, Catholic schools across the country have come together to celebrate Catholic Schools Week in January, a time to reflect on values that define our faith-based education. At Forest Ridge, we also honored our deep Sacred Heart traditions and values. Throughout the week, we took time to recognize our vibrant community, our dedicated students, and our teachers.

Catholic School Week was an opportunity for us to celebrate Forest Ridge members. Each day, we honored different groups within our community:

  • Monday - We celebrated our community of parents/guardians.

  • Tuesday - We celebrated our students with small tokens of appreciation.

  • Wednesday - We celebrated our neighborhood with a Lunar New Year celebration.

  • Thursday - We celebrated our vocations. We hosted a Career Fair event with FR alums.

  • Friday - We celebrated our faculty and staff.

On the final day of Catholic Schools Week, we had the opportunity to celebrate the faculty and staff who make Forest Ridge an extraordinary place of learning with a coffee cart on campus. If you haven't yet, we encourage you to reach out to a teacher or staff member who made a meaningful impact on your journey this year—letting them know how much they mean to you! A simple message of gratitude can go a long way in recognizing their hard work.

This week also provided a chance for our students to connect with the broader Catholic school community. On January 27, Jamie K. ‘25 and Anna R. ‘25 represented Forest Ridge at the High School Leadership Dinner with Archbishop Etienne, joining students from across the Archdiocese of Seattle. As part of the evening, they reflected on the question: What is unique about your school or experience at your school that connects you to Christ or deepens your faith? Their insights and leadership exemplified the values we hold dear at Forest Ridge—faith, service, and community.

Happy Catholic Schools Week!
