Ravens Athletics Report
The Raven athletic seasons are off to a strong start!
On the field, both our upper school and middle school soccer teams have kicked off the season with winning records. The varsity soccer team defeated Bush 2-1 and La Conner High School 3-2, with Co-Captain Jaya J. ’25, Hailey J. ’24, and Faven M. ’25 scoring for the Ravens. Co-Captain Sophia P. ’24 has been strong in the goal this season, helping the Ravens earn their wins. Our middle school soccer team defeated University Prep 7-1 and Bear Creek 1-0, and tied Cedar Park Christian with Lauren F. ’28, Elyssa T. ’28, Maya S. ’28, and Jazzy M. ’28 all scoring goals.
The middle school cross country team competed in the Crosstown Middle School League meet on September 14 with the largest team of any school in the league. The Ravens pulled out a 3rd place finish amongst a field of 7, with Elsa H. ’30 as the leading Raven runner, with Violet M. ’28 close behind.
Our upper school volleyball teams continue to fight through hard matches. Varsity volleyball defeated Summit Sierra, but fell short against Northwest and Bush. While JV volleyball hasn’t yet won a game, they have stayed in each match, winning a set against each opponent.
Thank you to the fans who have made it out to the field and court to support our soccer and volleyball athletes this fall. Want to come out and show your support? We hope you’ll come to our Ravens’ Rally on Tuesday, October 10 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. in the Schafer Gymnasium to cheer on our volleyball teams!
Go Ravens!
