Summer Reading & Assignments

Summer Reading

Summer reading and assignments are designated by grade level and are required for all students. As research has shown, the most effective time a student can spend in the summer to maintain her learning is to read daily – even if it’s for just 15-20 minutes.

The email will contain a link to IXL math review problems, as well as username and password information. Math review is not required, but is recommended so upper school students stay current on their math skills.

Uniforms

Uniforms are an integral part of who we are as a Sacred Heart community. This uniform policy may be adapted as needed throughout the year.
Make sure to order your Dress Uniform items as early as possible as Lands' End and Dennis are still experiencing supply chain shortages and delays. Dress Uniform is required for the first day of school.

  • Requires prescription medication at school or field trips (including inhalers & Epi Pens)
  • Needs immunizations, go to the Department of Health website to learn about school requirements

Transportation

If you would like to use transportation next school year, you must complete the 23-24 transportation registration. Seats are filled on a first-come, first-served basis, and space on each route is limited.

Transportation services are available before and after school via Mercedes Sprinter vans driven by our own faculty and staff. Our in-house Transportation Program allows us to be flexible in our stop offerings each year, while covering a wide geographic area. Our Transportation team works to design routes that keep road time to a minimum while serving as many families as possible.

To register for 23-24 transportation, and for more information regarding routes and fees, please click here.

For questions, please reach out to Facilities & Transportation Manager James Adams at jadams@forestridge.org.
