Athletics

The Forest Ridge Athletics Program brings our Sacred Heart values onto the playing field. Our student athletes embrace challenges, build resilience and learn about discipline and leadership, all while cheering on their teammates. We're proud to be a top choice for Seattle area girls who want athletics to be a part of their private school experience.

Whether you are an experienced athlete, new to a sport, or somewhere in between, the Forest Ridge Ravens have a place for you. Our program is participation-based and our no-cut policy assures every student the opportunity to be a member of a team.

Play Like a Girl

What happens after school matters.

Our experienced coaches strive for the development of our girls’ individual potential and physical fitness while instilling the values of what it means to work together as a team. Student athletes play in over 22 teams during three sports seasons in both middle and high school.

Students at Forest Ridge know how to compete. They Forest Ridge is a member of the Emerald City League, comprised of nine independent schools in the greater Seattle area. Our participation-based, no-cut policy gives our students a safe space to reach outside their comfort zones and try something new.

Whether they are experienced varsity-level players or starting their first season our student athletes learn to be compassionate competitors that play from the heart.

My goal is for every student to take part in at least one sport during her years at Forest Ridge. When I look back on my upper school athletics experience, I smile at the friendships made, the lessons learned (from both winning seasons and losing seasons) and my life-long love of physical fitness. jeanne higgins, director of athletics
