International Application Process

At Forest Ridge, an international student is defined as any student who requires an I-20 to study in the United States. Forest Ridge is authorized under US federal law to enroll non-immigrant students. Upon enrollment, the international student is issued an I-20 that allows her to apply for an F1 Visa at the American Embassy in her home country.

A complete international application consists of the following:

School Records & Evaluations

Test of English required for all students whose first language is not English. These students must take one of the following:
- TOEFL (grades 9-12) or TOEFL Junior (grades 6-8) test results (for applicants who do not speak English as their first language)
  - TOEFL Forest Ridge School Code: 6000
- Duolingo English Test
- IELTS (International English Language Testing System)
- Note: If you are unable to test due to the pandemic, please inform the Admission Office

Plus, the following:
- School records (three years of transcripts)
- SSAT scores are required for all applicants (https://www.ssat.org)
- Two teacher evaluations written in English (one English teacher/one math teacher)
- Two writing samples (in English) graded by a current teacher

Visit Forest Ridge

The best way to learn about Forest Ridge is to experience it for yourself!

International applicants are not required to visit Forest Ridge. However, if your family would like to visit, please schedule a tour with the Office of Enrollment Management (admission@forestridge.org) in advance.

International applicants can learn more about Forest Ridge even in their home country. We are happy to meet with families virtually. Please email admission@forestridge.org to arrange an appointment. We also encourage all international applicants to view our virtual tour and to attend our virtual events.

Virtual Campus Tour
- We invite you to explore our 19-acre campus from the comfort of your own home. Take a virtual campus tour, where you can explore our campus and classroom spaces and get a feel for what life is like on the Ridge. We look forward to welcoming you to campus, in-person, as soon as possible.

Virtual INFORMATION SESSION
- We invite your family to attend a virtual information session to explore our offerings and meet the faculty, staff, students and parents of the Forest Ridge community. This step is required for all applicants. Click here to register

Interview

Visit Forest Ridge

International students and their families are not required to visit campus as part of their application process. There are many opportunities to learn about Forest Ridge virtually.

If you plan to visit campus, please contact the Office of Enrollment Management (admission@forestridge.org), to schedule a private tour at least two weeks prior to your planned visit.
