As the 56th Mayor of Seattle, Jenny is the first woman to lead the city in nearly a century. Prior to becoming Mayor, Jenny was a civic leader and nationally-recognized attorney. From 2009 to 2014, she served as the U.S Attorney for the Western District of Washington, appointed by then-President Barack Obama.
Jenny believes to create true economic opportunity for everyone, education must be a priority. In a recent interview she shared “I would not be where I am without the educational opportunities I had.” At Forest Ridge, she learned there was nothing that girls could not do and to always shoot for her dreams. Jenny will share her thoughts on female leadership and facing challenges with the Forest Ridge community.
