Directions & Accommodations
Forest Ridge is located in Bellevue atop a hill with breathtaking views of downtown Seattle to the West, Mount Rainier to the South and Mount Baker to the North. We recognize that admissions counselors are coming from all over the Puget Sound region to visit Forest Ridge, so here is a link to directions from areas outside of Bellevue.
Please try to park in the lower lot so that you can reach the high school in just a few steps. Check in at the Sacred Heart Center, which will be easy to locate from the lower lot. (There are directional signs all over campus, pointing visitors to the Sacred Heart Center.) If you’d like to refer to a campus map, you’ll find the Sacred Heart Center pictured as building 700.
A little advice: don’t go over the speed limit in the Somerset Community! The police are notorious for issuing speeding tickets even if a driver is going 5 mph over the speed limit.
If you’re planning to stay overnight on the Eastside, downtown Bellevue is a quick 10 minute drive from Forest Ridge. A bit closer are the Silver Cloud Hotel, Hyatt House, and Larkspur Landing.
Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner & Shopping
Both Nikki and Laura were once “road warriors” and know how critical it can be to find a general store for cold medicine, snacks or an umbrella. (Despite the rumors, Seattleites do use umbrellas in the rain!) We also know that sometimes you have to eat a quick breakfast or lunch while driving to your next visit, but there are also moments when you want to have a decent, sit-down meal.
The good news is that a five minute drive down the hill in Factoria are a plethora of shopping and dining options. The Marketplace at Factoria is home to Target, Wal-Mart, Nordstrom Rack and TJ Maxx. (Who doesn’t love a bargain?) It also features Jamba Juice, Panera Bread, Panda Express, Goldberg’s Deli, Greek Express and other on-the-go dining options. If you have time for a longer lunch or dinner, try Novilhos Brazilian Steakhouse, Ricardo’s Mexican Restaurant, Thai Ginger or I Love Pho
Other Schools on the Eastside
If you’d like to spend a day or two, visiting high schools on the Eastside of the greater Seattle area, you might consider Eastside Preparatory School, Eastside Catholic, Issaquah High School, Newport High School and Sammamish High School. All of these schools are within a 20 minute drive from Forest Ridge.
