Meet the College Counselors

Ms. Nicole ‘Nikki’ Danos
Director of College Counseling

Nikki Danos’ love of Seattle began during her first visit to the Emerald City in 1995. Since then, she vowed to make Seattle her home, and that day came in July 2009. But her love of counseling high school students began long before that.
After growing up in Southern Louisiana and graduating from Loyola University New Orleans with a degree in Communications, Nikki decided that her calling was serving high school students.  She worked for her alma mater in the Office of Admissions for six years, recruiting and evaluating applications for students from all over the US. Knowing that she wanted to develop a more permanent relationship with families, Nikki decided to switch sides of the desk in 2003 and became a college counselor at Windward School, an independent school in Los Angeles. When Nikki relocated to Seattle in summer of 2009, she became the Director of College Counseling at Rainier Scholars, a long-term college preparatory program for low income students of color.
Nikki is a long-time advocate of all-girls' education, and she is excited to support the young women at Forest Ridge in their college aspirations.
