As we enter our 109th year since our school’s founding in 1907, one of the many things we can say with certainty is that we have significant experience with educating girls. We are delighted that you are considering a Forest Ridge education for your daughter and welcome you to get to know us and our history of all-girls’ education in your journey through the admission process.
It is our goal to help you learn as much as you can about Forest Ridge, and for us to get to know as much as we can about your daughter and her interests, to determine if our school is the right fit for you. If you haven’t already filled out a Request for Information
form, we ask that you do so to receive the most up-to-date information about the application process, open houses and tours, and the many other events that take place on our campus throughout the school year. We will send you regular email updates to keep you on track for admission and enrollment for the 2017-2018 school year.
Maybe your daughter is not at a grade level where she is ready to apply for the coming year. This means you have even more time to get to know us before you launch into the application process. In addition to open houses and campus tours, we will also invite you to our speaker series to hear from experts in the fields of parenting, internet safety, all-girls’ education and much more. We also welcome your attendance at our theatrical performances, sporting events, and other Forest Ridge activities of interest to you. We hope you will take advantage of the many opportunities to learn about all the great things going on at Forest Ridge School of the Sacred Heart.
For those who are planning to apply for the 2017-2018 school year, we hope to make this process as easy to navigate as possible. We are a member of Puget Sound Independent Schools, an admission collaborative that strives to introduce families to independent schools and streamline the admission process.
To that end, we utilize the same common application as many of the independent schools in the area through a company called Ravenna. You will create an account in Ravenna and manage your application online, selecting Forest Ridge as a school to which you wish to apply. Many of the schools in the area utilize common forms for transcript requests, teacher evaluations, etc., which means you will not have to complete multiple forms if you are applying to more than one school. If you have any questions about navigating the Ravenna online application process, we are here to help. Please also see our Application Process
page for more details on application requirements.
