One of the most unique facets of attending a Sacred Heart school is that you are part of an international family and have opportunities to attend school anywhere in the United States or around the world. With over 150 schools in 41 countries in the International Sacred Heart network, 8th through 12th grade students have the exciting opportunity to study abroad or host students in an exchange with other Sacred Heart schools.
Our international exchange program allows students to immerse themselves in a new language and culture. In addition, living and learning in a new environment helps students develop critical personal skills. Opportunities are available to study abroad for as little as one week to an entire semester. Many students remember their Sacred Heart exchange as one of the highlights of their Forest Ridge experience and often make lifelong friends with their sisters from other schools.

38% of recent Forest Ridge alumnae took part in an exchange, traveling to Sacred Heart schools that included: Australia, France, Ireland, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Spain, South Korea, Taiwan, San Francisco and Washington, D.C.
