Girls’ Leadership

At Forest Ridge, we know girls, and building leaders is something that our faculty and staff do everyday both in and out of the classroom. This summer, join us at Forest Ridge to challenge yourself, build confidence and make friends while stepping into the power of your own strengths!

Rachel Simmons’ Girl Meets World Leadership Course

Girls entering grades 7-12
July 15-19, 2019 | 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.

Taught by Forest Ridge high school faculty member Inga Aesoph, this innovative curriculum, developed by Rachel Simmons, will equip students to meet their world with integrity, self-awareness and a strong sense of their own agency. Students will develop skills essential to leadership – communication, conflict resolution and relationship building – while having tons of fun while they are at it! Join us this summer to think big and build confidence – the world needs you!

Fierce Females

Girls entering grades 6-9
July 15-July 19, 2019 | 8:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m.

Taught by the Director of the Center for Girls at Forest Ridge, this course will take girls through an exploration of their self-talk, helping them to identify when it is coming from their inner-critic versus their inner-mentor. They will use this awareness to acknowledge their strengths and build a strong foundation of self-confidence. Girls will learn skills and gain tools to become advocates for themselves and others.
